Pumpkin Seeds
Pumpkin Seed is a picture book created by Aining during the pandemic, a period of quiet reflection on life, creation, love, and the cycles of life and death. The story centers on Grandma Fox, who tends her little yard while missing Grandpa Fox, until one day her peaceful routine is transformed by the unexpected arrival of a pumpkin seed.

Through this narrative, Aining explores enduring love and the simple, profound moments that give life meaning. The period of isolation offered space to consider what truly matters: the cultivation of a fulfilling life, the importance of deep emotional bonds, and the quiet joys of ordinary existence. Inspired by the love story of Qian Zhongshu and Yang Jiang, who supported each other throughout life and found happiness in everyday moments, Pumpkin Seed becomes both a reflection on love and a tribute to those whose lives illuminate ours.

The book delicately portrays the connection between past and present, loss and remembrance, and the beauty of everyday intimacy, inviting young readers to recognize the enduring power of love and memory in their own lives.
