Little Music Forest Series
Little Music Forest is an original global picture book IP created, illustrated, and musically produced by Aining Wen. It is designed to introduce children to music through a unique three-dimensional experience blending story, illustration, and original music—covering Classical orchestral music, Traditional Chinese music, diverse World music styles, the fundamentals of Music Creation, and the relationship between Music and Human life.
Set in a warm and joyful musical forest, the stories feature a cast of charming animal characters who guide young readers through thoughtful and imaginative narratives.Together, they introduce children to more than twenty important musical instruments, exploring their basic structures, tonal qualities, and playing techniques. The series also presents a wide range of musical styles, including Orchestral music, Traditional Chinese music, Jazz, pop, Latin music, African music, and Nature music, helping children develop a broad and inclusive musical perspective.
Beyond musical appreciation, Little Music Forest actively invites children to create music themselves. Across the series, key musical elements — such as notes, staff notation, rhythm, melody, and harmony — are introduced in an accessible and playful way. Children are encouraged to explore the deeper connections between music and life: music and identity, music and the body, music and emotions, and music and imagination.
Each books is accompanied by a carefuly produced original music soundtrack. Professional composers, arrangers, musicians, and sound engineers collaborate on composition, recording, and mixing, with performances by professional instrumentalists. In addition, over 60 children participate as storytellers, bringing warmth and authenticity to the listening experience. Each title functions like a self-contained musical stage production, blending background music, narrative voice, instrumental performance, and sound effects to fuly immerse listeners in the world of Little Music Forest.
